Business Law & Litigation
We have extensive experience in business law and litigation.
We regularly represent local, regional, national, and international corporations, insurers, financial institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
We also represent entrepreneurs, general and limited partnerships, closely-held companies, limited liability companies, lawyers, accountants, and other professionals, and individuals involved in business disputes and civil litigation.
Representing Businesses From Start To Finish
We represent businesses throughout all stages of their life cycles: business formation, growth, succession and dissolution. We guide our business clients at their inception, counseling them on important considerations such as choice of corporate or business entity. As our clients grow and evolve, we regularly handle their business and commercial transactions. We have substantial expertise in negotiating, reviewing and drafting contracts critical to a business’s growth. Finally, during the later stages of a business’s life cycle, we craft succession plans and provide guidance on wind ups and dissolutions.
We also assist our clients in planning for contingencies and avoiding potential liabilities. In particular, we place great emphasis on counseling our clients on liability and litigation avoidance.
Sometimes litigation is unavoidable, however. As veteran litigators with decades of combined experience, when disputes do arise we regularly try, arbitrate, and mediate matters for our clients, consistently achieving positive results. We have extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in matters involving breach of contract, trade secrets, business torts, fraud, unfair competition, Chapter 93A claims (unfair and deceptive acts or practices), and corporate governance in both state and federal courts.
