Construction Law & Public Bidding

We have extensive experience representing clients in all facets of public and private construction contracts and disputes. The members of our firm regularly represent subcontractors, general contractors, owners, and awarding authorities.

We understand and emphasize the importance of negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements that protect our clients’ rights should disputes arise at any phase of a project. Many times, the care we take in crafting, analyzing and reviewing contract provisions for our clients greatly reduces the likelihood of contract disputes arising at all. Our decades of combined experience in contract law and negotiation makes our firm unique and gives our clients a strategic advantage in an often litigious field.

We work with our clients and advise them throughout the life cycle of a project and beyond, helping them avoid pitfalls and protecting their rights. Moreover, our consistent engagement in the field allows us to provide our clients with regular updates on the continuous changes and developments in the varied areas of construction law.

Years of Experience

Should litigation arise, we are skilled and seasoned litigators, with years of experience mediating, arbitrating and trying both public and private construction related disputes. We regularly handle matters involving breach of contract, surety bonds, claims for equitable adjustment, delay claims, change orders, construction defects, contractual warranty claims, demands for direct payment, and mechanics liens.

Bid Protest Proceedings

Our firm also frequently provides counsel and representation to clients in bid protest proceedings before the Bid Protest Unit of the Office of the Attorney General, and the courts of Massachusetts. Our substantial experience and proficiency in the public bidding laws are equaled by very few firms in the Commonwealth.
