Boston —  Attorney John Hitt recently negotiated a favorable settlement in an employment discrimination / wrongful termination case involving an employee fired for allegedly having violated safety protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic.  As investigation of the facts revealed, the employee had been unfairly singled out for termination by a multinational chain not because of the alleged violation of Covid-19 safety protocols but because of the employee’s national origin and race.  The case shows how well-intentioned apparently neutral rules of employers can be unlawfully applied to employees during the Covid-19 pandemic.
